BriefTether guide
Keep the scope connected
BriefTether helps small web and software agencies turn a client brief into reviewed requirements and keep later changes visible.
A workspace for fixed price work
A client brief often mixes deliverables, timing, approval rules, and assumptions. BriefTether keeps those items together in a practical requirement ledger. You attach exact excerpts from the brief and agency evidence, write acceptance criteria, record exclusions, and enter your own estimate.
When the scope is reviewed, save a baseline. It preserves the requirements and source text at that point. Later row edits can be compared with the baseline, while separate change requests keep proposed additional work and decisions visible.
People decide the commitments
Optional AI assistance can propose requirements from documents you select and consent to send. Its candidates remain drafts until you review and save them. A matching source quote shows where the text came from; it does not independently prove a company's claims or make a contract enforceable.
The manual workflow works without an API key. Provider choice, document handling, and connection limits are explained in the guide and privacy notice. AI proposals always require your review.
The current stage
BriefTether is a functioning early-access service at brieftether.com. Its website, API, and persistent storage run on Cloudflare Workers and D1, independent of a local PC server. The invited operator completes a protected one-time setup before public registration opens.
Early access is free, with no active checkout or payment collection. No customer results, revenue, certifications, or savings are claimed. Real legal operator details must be supplied during setup.
Try an honest example
The workspace includes a clearly labeled fictional project. Use it to explore source links, estimates, baselines, and changed requirements. A sample is never added to your own client project automatically.
